Dalia / Indian Porridge Recipe for Weight Loss

Weight loss refers to a reduction of the total body mass it may be due to voluntary actions like diet and exercise or involuntary actions like health illness.

Dalia for weight loss : Dalia is indian food recipe for weight loss as it is rich in fiber, fibre in your food cannot be converted to sugar, and therefore eating Dalia for weight loss makes a lot of sense

Ingredients for making dalia are

  • Broken wheat
  • Moong dal
  • chilli powder
  • ghee
  • cumin
  • tumeric powder
  • salt
  • water
  • green chilli
  • grated ginger
  • deseeded tomatoes

How to prepare

Wash and soak 1/4 cup of broken wheat and 1/4 cup of moong dal together for half-an-hour and then heat 2 or 3 table spoons of ghee in a pressure cooker, saute (fried quickly in a little hot fat.) half the table spoon of cumin until it sizzles and fry 1 tables spoon of granted ginger until it fragrant. Now add 1/2 cup deseeded tomatoes and salt as per required level, and some turmeric powder and cook it after some time add 1/2 table spoon of chilli powder and saute for a minute and now add some veggies and saute for few minutes, Now drain complete from dal and broken wheat and these to pan  and saute for 2 to 3 minutes slightly in high flame and now add 2 cups of water, cook it up to 2 whistles, finally stir well the pressure goes off. Check salt and add according to your taste.
