Food that helps to Increase your sperm count
Sperm is the male reproductive cell and is derived from the Greek word (σπέρμα) sperma (meaning “seed”). In the types of sexual reproduction known as anisogamy and its subtype oogamy, there is a marked difference in the size of the gametes with the smaller one being termed the “male” or sperm cell. A uni flagellar sperm cell that is motile is referred to as a spermatozoon, whereas a non-motile sperm cell is referred to as a spermatium. Sperm cells cannot divide and have a limited lifespan, but after fusion with egg cells during fertilization, a new organism begins developing, starting as a totipotent zygote. The human sperm cell is haploid so that its 23 chromosomes can join the 23 chromosomes of the female egg to form a diploid cell. In mammals, sperm develops in the testicles and is released from the penis.
Sperm Count. 40 million to 300 million is the normal range for the number of sperm per milliliter. Counts below 10 million are considered poor; counts of 20 million or more may be fine if motility and morphology are normal.
Food that helps to boost sperm count are:
Bananas: Bananas obtain a rare enzyme called Bromeliad, which is good for the bro’s because it helps regulate sex hormones. They are also loaded with Magnesium, Vitamin B1 & Vitamin C, which are building blocks of sperm. Eating 1-3 bananas a week is enough for them to help increase your sperm counts
Dark Chocolate: Dark chocolate also contains L-arginine, This amino acid is needed for sperm production and when consumed, increases sperm count and boosts semen volume.
Garlic: Garlic contains Selenium, and antioxidant necessary for sperm motility and Allicin, and compound that increases blood flow to the male sex organs. Add it to your daily mix to see a boost in sex drive and an increase in sperm count.
Pomegranates: Consuming pomegranates on a regular basis can help the body in killing free radicals and also in improving the potential of the sperms.
Beef: Beef contains zinc which protects the sperms from the influence of free radicals. Zinc also prevents the conversion of testosterone into estrogen. Thus it also promotes libido.
Spinach: spinach contains high amounts of folic acid. Vegetables enriched in folic acid help contribute to sperm count. They also make sperm healthier and increase their motility.
Fruit Salad: Fruits are also rich in folic acid which strengthens the sperms. The antioxidants in the fruits help in killing the free radicals and thus they protect the sperms. Fruits are a rich source of Vitamin C which prevents clumping of the semen. strawberries, oranges, and cherries contain lots of antioxidants which is needed for sperm production
Egg: Eggs are rich in vitamin E, a deficiency of which is responsible for testicular tissue degeneration. Eggs are also rich in antioxidants that neutralize free radicals and protect the cells.
Water: Drinking lots of water can help the body in increasing sperm count. It also helps in improving the functioning of the sperms.
