Home remedies for Loss of appetite

Loss of appetite can be caused by a variety of conditions and diseases, but loss of appetite can be reversible and some times it is temporary.

Some conditions and medical issues can also cause loss of appetite like  viral or bacterial infections, hypothyroidism, chronic liver disease, hepatitis, kidney failure, heart failure, dementia etc.,

Home remedies to stimulate appetite are

Remedy 1

Ingredients

  • Indian gooseberry or amla
  • lemon juice
  • honey

How to make and use

Mix two teaspoons of Indian gooseberry juice and two tea spoons of lemon juice and two tea spoons of honey in a cup. After mixing it well just drink it early in the morning on empty stomach.

Dosage

  • Drink the juice daily about three to four months

Remedy 2

Ingredients

  • Ginger
  • Rock salt

How to make and use

Take one-half teaspoon of finely chopped ginger and add a pinch of rock salt to it and mix it and eat it before half-an-hour going to meal

Dosage

  • Eat the mixture half an hour prior to meals every day for eight to 10 days.

Remedy 3

Ingredients

  • Jaggery powder
  • black pepper

How to make and use

Take one table spoon of Jaggery powder and one half tea spoon of ground black pepper and mix it and eat it on regular basis for few days.

Dosage

  • Eat the mixture daily for few days.
