The kidney bean is the best remedy for weight loss. The scientific name of the kidney bean is Phaseolus vulgaris.  It is named for its visual resemblance in shape and colour to a kidney. Red kidney beans should not be confused with other red beans, such as adzuki beans.

There are different types of classifications of kidney beans. They are:

Ingredients For Red Kidney Bean Soup

  • 1/2 cup soaked kidney beans
  • 11/2 tablespoon oil
  •  1 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 11/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 tablespoon chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon yellow Capsicum
  • 1 tablespoon green capsicum
  • 1 tablespoon spring onions

Preparation Of Red Kidney Bean Soup

  • Heat the oil and add onions, garlic and saute on a medium flame.
  • Add tomatoes to these onions and cook for 2 to 3 minutes
  • Add kidney beans, chilli powder, salt and 2 cups of water and cook.
  • After that cool them completely and blend in a mixture to a smooth mixture.
  • Transfer this mixture into a pan and add lemon juice and 11/2 cup of water and boiled it for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Serve the soup and garnished with yellow capsicum, green capsicum and spring onions.
