Tortilla soup is a very healthy dish, this Tortilla soup is the best solution for weight loss. This soup contains the vitamins like Vitamin A, Vitamin B-6, Vitamin c, Vitamin K, thiamine, riboflavin and niacin. This Tortilla soup contains rich in dietary minerals like Calcium, Copper, magnesium, phosphorous, selenium, potassium and zinc.

Tortilla soup contains Fat- 2%, Fiber- 8%, Cholesterol- 0%, Sodium- 26%, and Proteins- 9%.

 

Ingredients for Tortilla Soup:

  • 1 cup of onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 3 number of green onions
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 4- cups of low-fat chicken
  • 1/3 cup of salsa
  • 1/2 cup of red pepper
  • 1/2 cup of green chillis
  • 1/3 cup 0f cilantro
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 4 tablespoon fat-free sour cream
  • 4 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup of avocados

 

Directions to prepare Tortilla Soup:

  • Heat the oil over medium heat and add onions and garlic in that oil and fried that mixture until they become soft.
  • Add chilli powder, tomatoes, broth and water and stir this and left for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Now, add chillies, cilantro, and chicken and left in simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Ladle soup into individual serving bowls and avocados slices, cream and green onions on top of the soup.
